Here you will learn a bit more about my Aviary.
Welcome to Precious Feathers Aviary.
We are located in Buffalo Missouri and have been
raiseing Birds Since 1999. We have raised a variety
of birds along the way but have always had finchs in
our Aviary.
We currently raise;
Gouldian Finchs and Society Finchs.

Our Birds
I raise my birds inside which I feel is better
so they are not exposed to any wild birds that
might be sick. I Feed my birds:
Finch/Parakeet Seed I mix myself
Hard Boiled Eggs(Lots during Breeding Season)
Veggies
Apples
Sprouted Seeds
Millet
I offer the birds cuttle bone at all times in the cages.I give them fresh clean water every day. I also offer Lafebers Finch Pellets. I give this varied diet so that I have healthy breeders as well as healthy chicks.

Our Flight Cages.
We have one 5 foot flight cage in our living room. I have fake strands of Ivy Garland over my cages. This give the birds a since of security in their home. I also use full spectrum lights on all my cages. I put the birds on about 11-14 hours of light during the day.
The birds will have larger flights to be housed in when they are on rest from breeding. This helps to keep them well exercised and healthy.
